CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Carolina Beach Town Council has made plans to improve Carolina Beach Lake Park.

The park, which is made up of swings, a walking path, and a picnic shelter, will be upgraded to have a splash pad, amphitheater, playground, farmers market shelter, and more.

Money will be spent and the park will be built in phases, starting with the playground.

The plan seems to be underway, with some observation decks blocked off for demolition.

The almost $4.7 million update was passed as part of 2017-2022 Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
